About US
The Dr. Smita Sharma Foundation is a non-profit organization established in loving memory of Dr. Smita Sharma, an accomplished academician, researcher, educator, and a woman whose life was guided by integrity, compassion, and service to society.
Dr. Smita Sharma dedicated her professional life to education and research in the fields of marketing and management. As a senior faculty member, program chair, and published scholar, she shaped institutions and influenced generations of students through intellectual discipline, ethical leadership, and a deep sense of responsibility. Her academic contributions, published in reputed journals and presented at national and international platforms, reflected her commitment to knowledge that serves society.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Sharma believed strongly in empathy, inclusion, and care for the vulnerable. These values became even more pronounced during her own life journey when she faced a long and challenging battle with cancer. She faced it with courage, clarity, and dignity. She fought bravely, and her journey concluded with peace and grace.
The Foundation was created to ensure that the values she lived by continue to create impact.
The Dr. Smita Sharma Foundation is dedicated to the welfare and dignity of cancer patients, elderly individuals, orphans and the care and protection of cows. Our work is rooted in the belief that true service must be inclusive, humane, and sustained. We aim to support those who are often unheard or overlooked, restoring dignity, care, and a sense of belonging.
Through social support initiatives, awareness programs, education, and compassionate action, the Foundation seeks to transform empathy into meaningful service. Every initiative reflects a commitment to responsibility, integrity, and kindness—principles that defined Dr. Smita Sharma’s life.
This Foundation is not only a tribute.
It is a continuation of a life devoted to learning, service, and humanity.
Founding Statement
The Dr. Smita Sharma Foundation was created in loving memory of Dr. Smita Sharma, whose life was defined by learning, integrity, compassion, and service to others.
When she faced her own life’s greatest challenge—a long and difficult battle with cancer—she met it with courage, clarity, and grace. She fought it bravely, never allowing adversity to diminish her dignity or purpose. Her journey concluded with peace, leaving behind lessons that continue to inspire those who knew her and those who learn her story.
This Foundation was established to carry forward the values she lived by. It exists to serve those who are often overlooked—cancer patients, elderly individuals in need of care and companionship, orphans seeking stability and opportunity, persons with disabilities deserving respect and inclusion, and the care and protection of cows as an expression of compassion for all living beings.
It is our commitment to transform empathy into action, and remembrance into service. Every initiative we undertake reflects the belief that true legacy is created not through words, but through meaningful and sustained care for others.
We invite you to walk with us in this journey—one guided by kindness, integrity, and purpose—so that together, we may honour her life by continuing the work she believed in so deeply.
In every role – mentor, colleague, friend and guide – she embodied dignity, resilience and boundless compassion. She taught us that true success lies not in accolades, but in the hearts, we touch, the kindness we extend and the hope we kindle in others.
Her journey continues to guide our own
Every effort we make, every life we seek to uplift, is a step along the path she illuminated – a path of empathy, equity and quiet courage
In carrying forward her vision, we keep her spirit alive – a living tribute to a life that continues to inspire, to comfort and to shine
Dr. Smita Sharma believed that true compassion is best expressed through actions, and one of the most beautiful reflections of her values was her devotion to serving cows.
For her, feeding a cow was never just a simple act—it was a moment of connection, humility, and gratitude. She saw in these gentle beings a reminder of patience, purity, and the silent strength of nature. With every offering, she practiced kindness in its most sincere form—quiet, selfless, and deeply meaningful.
Her life teaches us that service does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, it is found in these small yet powerful moments—where we choose to care, to nurture, and to give without expecting anything in return.
This act of serving cows stands as a symbol of her belief that humanity extends beyond people—it includes every living being around us. It reminds us to slow down, to be present, and to embrace compassion as a way of life.
May this message inspire us all to carry forward her values—to serve, to respect, and to spread kindness in the simplest ways possible.
